Monterey & Carmel All Day Adventure
(Small group tour)

Join us as we drive down the beautiful California coast from San Francisco California to Monterey and Carmel on an all day adventure full of beautiful sights such as the rugged Californoia coastline, pelicans, other shore birds, pretty wildflowers and wonderful waves along the Pacific Ocean. All in one day!!

You will start your tour by a pick up at your hotel in one of our comfortable vans (no buses), meet your knowledgeable tour guide and then drive south leaving the city behind.

We will then join the coast and drive down the Pacific Coast Highway through the towns of Pacifica, Montara and Half Moon Bay. We’ll make a stop at the 115-foot Pigeon Point Lighthouse, one of the tallest lighthouses in America. It has been guiding mariners since 1872. We’ll take some quick photos of the coastline and the lighthouse and then continue on to Davenport California for a snack break of drinks and wonderful pastries. Then we will drive through the town of Santa Cruz on our way to Monterey California.

Once in Monterey you will have time to have a wonderful fresh seafood lunch, visit the many shops in town along world famous Cannery Row made famous in John Steinbeck novels or perhaps visit the world class Monterey Bay Aquarium (admission extra).

After lunch and our time in historic Monterey (Monterey was home to the first European settlers in California) we will continue on through Pacific Grove California. Pacific Grove has more Victorian homes per capita than any other place in the United States and is also part of the Monarch butterfly’s migratory route.

From there we will drive through 17 Mile Drive a wonderful forest where we will see some of the most expensive homes in the United States as well as the world famous golf courses of Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill. While at Pebble Beach you will have an opportunity to check out the Pro shop and also walk on down to the 18th green. We will also stop at the Lone Cypress tree, which is over 250 years old and sits out on a perch above the Pacific Ocean. We will make several stops along the way for photos.

Once we are finished driving through 17 Mile Drive we will arrive at quaint Carmel By The Sea where you will have an opportunity to shop it’s stores or just hang out at the beach for a while.

After your time in Carmel we will then start making our return trip to San Francisco driving through the Salinas Valley. This is the home of John Steinbeck and much of California’s agriculture. Lot’s of strawberries, artichokes, lettuce and garlic is produced here. We will make a stop on the way back for you to have the opportunity to purchase some of these fine food products.

We will then return to San Francisco and your hotels.

8:00- 8:45 Pick-up at your San Francisco hotel.
8:45 - 11:30 Drive down the beautiful California coast to Monterey with stops along the way.
11:30 - 1:00 Arrive at scenic Monterey California and have lunch, do some shopping and some exploring.
1:00 - 2:30 Drive through Pacific Grove and 17 Mile Drive with stops along the way.
2:30 - 4:00 Spend time in beautiful Carmel by the Sea.
4:00 - 6:30 Drive back to San Francisco through the Salinas Valley.
6:30 - 7:00 Arrive back at your hotel.

We will, however, do everything we can to get you on another tour at no additional charge if time and availability permits.
